Cookie Policy

We keep this deliberately simple: this site does not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. What it does store in your browser falls into two categories.

Session cookies (staff sign-in only)

If you sign in to our editorial admin tools, a session cookie keeps you signed in. This only applies to Front Row Africa staff — it isn’t set for ordinary visitors reading the site.

Local storage (on your device only)

A few interactive features save your progress directly in your browser’s local storage, rather than on our servers — for example, the daily crossword remembers the letters you’ve filled in so a reload doesn’t lose your progress. This data never leaves your device and we can’t see it.

Your control

You can clear cookies and local storage for this site at any time through your browser’s settings — doing so will sign you out of any admin session and reset any in-progress crossword.
